Fantasy Football 2017: 10 Deep sleepers for Week 3
By Dan Thomas
5. Rashard Higgins, WR, Cleveland Browns (3.9 percent owned)
Out of all the wide receivers in the NFL last week, Rashard Higgins finished as the 15th-best PPR wide receiver after catching seven passes for 95 yards on 11 targets. It would be easy to assume this was some sort of fluke but I’m not willing to make that assumption. At least not yet.
Cleveland’s free agent addition Kenny Britt has been underwhelming after two weeks and the team’s first-round pick in 2016, Corey Coleman, has a broken hand. These two factors are the reasons why Higgins has such a big game. With Coleman now on injured reserve, Higgins has a real opportunity to be featured in the passing game every week.

4. Trevor Siemian, QB, Denver Broncos (32.8 percent owned)
Siemian goes into Week 3 as fantasy football’s second-best quarterback and faces a beatable Buffalo Bills secondary. I don’t think Siemian will maintain his place as fantasy football’s No. 2 quarterback for much longer but I absolutely think he can finish the season inside the top-10. With so many high profiled quarterbacks struggling and/or with difficult matchups on Sunday, Siemian makes sense for a lot of owners.
3. Chris Carson, RB, Seattle Seahawks (37.7 percent owned)
Going into Week 3 Carson leads the Seahawks backfield in rushing attempts (26), rushing yards (132), fantasy points (16.9) and snaps (76). Even though Carson is in a committee, he’s the favorite to lead the team in all rushing categories. It’s not a bad spot for Carson who faces a Tennessee Titans defense which allowed 100+ rushing yards in Week 1 and a rushing touchdown in Week 2.
