2. Will C.J. Anderson’s success carryover to Week 3?

C.J. Anderson rushed for 118 yards and one touchdown while catching three passes for 36 yards and one touchdown last week against the Cowboys. Can he replicate this performance this week against the Bills, or will his production regress to the mean?

Anderson is averaging 4.4 yards per carry on the year and looks like he is back to his old form. He is a major influence on the offense’s production, because without him, it would be more challenging for the offense to move the chains on a regular basis. He’s a very cerebral player and he is tremendously talented at reading the defense and finding the open running lane.

More from Denver Broncos

The Bills have allowed just 115 rushing yards this year. However, their first game of the season was against the New York Jets who currently have one of the worst offenses in the league. This will be a tremendous test for both, the Broncos offense and the Bills defense.

If Anderson can get things going on the ground on Sunday, then things will be a lot easier for Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian, because the offense will organically flow like it’s supposed to. Anderson has always been an efficient running back, rushing for at least four yards per carry in every season of his career.

The run game will dictate the pace for Denver’s offense and if Anderson can churn out the tough yards on the ground then the Broncos should run like a well oiled machine. If not, then it could be a long flight home for the good guys.
