Round 2: Bradley Chubb, EDGE, NC State

In Dan Quinn’s defense, you can never have enough talented pass-rushers on your 53-man roster, which is exactly why it would be smart for the Falcons to take Bradley Chubb with their second-round pick in 2018.

Atlanta has gotten deeper with their edge players since Quinn arrived in 2015, but adding Chubb would give them another guys to add to their up-and-coming rotation. With the team already using a first-round pick on Takk McKinley in 2016, they will probably look defense in the second-round this year.

Chubb is regarded as one of the best edge rushers in this class, coming off the edge for the Wolfpack for quite some time with a ton of experience. He has been a fearsome pass rusher that has been able to show speed and power against opposing tackles. Even better, he has upside if he can keep honing his technique and run defense.

He has been pretty darn successful since he’s been at NC State. The Falcons love to take high-ceiling players who are also under-the-radar. While it’s nearly impossible to predict who Quinn and Dimitroff will ultimately draft, Chubb fits the description of a player they are, more than likely, to gamble on.
