Round 3: Reginald McKenzie, DL, Tennessee

This pick will be determined by the performance of the Falcons defensive tackle, Dontari Poe, in the 2017 season. If for some reason Atlanta still feels they are lacking a significance presence on the inside of their defensive line beside Grady Jarrett, they should definitely take a chance on Reginald McKenzie from the University of Tennessee.

At 6-3 and 320 pounds, the Volunteers junior is a man among boys in the middle of the defensive-line. Needless to say, he would be a phenomenal addition to this current group of Falcons lineman.

Not to mention, McKenzie comes from a success football family as well. His father, Reggie McKenzie, is currently the general manager of the Oakland Raiders, playing a pivotal role in turning that franchise around in recent years.

While NFL pedigree doesn’t automatically mean that a player is going to be successful in his own right, but it does mean he has all of the tools to be a solid professional football player. With already performing well as Tennessee’s starting defensive tackle in 2017, McKenzie is well on his way to making it into the bigleagues.
