Texans vs. Patriots live stream: Watch Week 3 online
By Randy Gurzi
The Houston Texans face the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 24 in NFL Week 3. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
It’s becoming a battle of big brother versus little brother as the Houston Texans feature several coaches on their staff who got their start with the New England Patriots. Head coach Bill O’Brien and assistant head coach Romeo Crennel were once coaches on the Patriots staff under their long time coach Bill Belichick. Their defensive coordinator, Mike Vrabel, was a longtime linebacker for New England as well.
In recent years they’ve even featured several former players from the Pats, most of which are gone now. Even with their departures, the Texans still feel like a team doing all they can to emulate the Patriots. Despite two-straight AFC South titles, they still have a long way to go to reach the level of New England. It’s still a measuring stick for Houston to see if they’re ready to compete with the big boys.
Last year when these two met, New England was down to third-string quarterback Jacoby Brissett with Tom Brady suspended and Jimmy Garoppolo injured. They still got the win, and this year they are ready to roll out their franchise passing leader on the struggling Texans.
