2. Every Patriots Game Should Be Stacked

Here’s something that won’t surprise you: Tom Brady and the Patriots offense is really good. However, something that is surprising is how bad the Patriots defense has been so far. Yesterday rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson went into New England and finished with 342 total yards and 2 touchdowns. Owners who play DFS or season-long fantasy football should be looking to target offensive players who are going against the Patriots.

The reason is because New England’s offense will put up points just about every game. When they do, it’ll force the opposing teams to throw and push the ball down the field in order to keep up. Right now, their defense can’t stop anything and potential shootouts are looking more and more likely every week.

1. Is Cam Newton No Longer a QB1?

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was one of my favorite fantasy quarterbacks this week. He was playing at home against an awful Saints defense who was missing multiple starters. He was in a great spot to go off. Instead, he fell flat on his face. He finished with just 8.3 fantasy points after throwing three interceptions and is currently ranked as the 25th fantasy quarterback for Week 3.

It’s the third-straight Week Newton has finished with less than 14 fantasy points and second-straight game without a passing touchdown. Next week he goes against the New England Patriots.

Wait, didn’t I just say owners should consider stacking offenses against the Patriots defense? I did and I stand by it. If Newton doesn’t show something in Week 4, owners need to seriously consider benching him or even cutting him.
