The Denver Broncos are set to play the Oakland Raiders in Week 4 and here are three bold predictions for this game.

Last week the Denver Broncos dropped their first game of the season to the Buffalo Bills 26-16. The Broncos now have a record of 2-1 going into week four. They will have a tough task this week as they play their divisional rival the Oakland Raiders.

The rivalry between the Raiders and the Broncos goes all the way back to 1960 when the two teams played their first game with Denver emerging with a 31-14 victory. Since then, the Raiders currently lead the series with a 62-51-2 record, including a 1-1 post season record. However, in recent years, since 2010, the Denver Broncos lead the series with a 9-5 record with eight straight wins stretching from 2011-15.

Oakland is stout on both sides of the ball. On offense they are led with a very promising group of skilled players. Derek Carr is currently one of the leagues top emerging young quarterbacks and he has two very talented receivers to pass the ball to in Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree. Not to mention, they have Marshawn Lynch who some still consider one of the best backs in the league. The offense has accumulated 576 passing yards (192 yards per game) and 321 rushing yards (107 rushing yards per game).

The defense is led by Khalil Mack who is a very dominate pass rusher. He currently has 16 tackles and two sacks on the season. Denver’s offensive line will need to be on point, if they hope to keep Mack from disrupting the passing. The defense has help opponent to 112.33 rushing yards per game and 252 passing yards per game.

Denver has one of the toughest defenses in the league and they will need to step up and hold Oakland’s offense if the Broncos want to win this game. The defense is capable of stopping the Raiders offense and keeping the game from becoming a high scoring affair.

On offense, Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas will need to consistently create separation from the defensive backs to make things easier for Trevor Siemian and  to help the offense to be able to regularly move the chains.

This should be a very fun game to watch and it should be a very close contest that goes down to the final minutes. With all the being said, here are three bold predictions for this game.
