Raiders Tackles vs. Von Miller

Von Miller is a versatile outside linebacker that can rush from a variety of positions. However, a good portion of Sunday’s game will have Miller facing off against Oakland’s left tackle, Donald Penn. Miller and Penn are both considered two of the best in the league at their respective positions.

Miller, who won Super Bowl MVP in 2015, remains one of the best linebackers in the league. In last two games, Miller has recorded three sacks and eight tackles. Oakland gave up four sacks in their Week 3 matchup against Washington and their offense struggled to produce anything in the game. If Oakland expects to turn around this week, it will begin with protecting Derek Carr, mainly from Miller.

While Penn may be one of the best left tackles in the league, he is a veteran at the end of his prime. It will be interesting to see exactly how Penn will matchup against a young elite pasher at only the start of his prime. If Penn is able to handle Miller and lessen some of the pressure on Carr, Oakland’s offense could be Denver’s largest challenge of the season. However, if Miller is in the backfield on every play the Raiders will struggle even more than they did in Week 3.
