The Philadelphia Eagles faced the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Oct. 1 in NFL Week 4, and here are the highlights from the game.

The Los Angeles Chargers are heading into their week four match-up against the Philadelphia Eagles with their season potentially on the line. While no one is ever truly eliminated from the playoffs in early October, starting the season 0-4 is historically tough to come back from — in terms of turning the season around and making the postseason.

They wilted under that pressure early on. Philip Rivers lost the ball on a sack on LA’s first drive, setting the early tone. Philly then wasted no time as Carson Wentz and company found the end zone with a pass to Alshon Jeffery. That began four-straight Eagles possessions where they scored, although the last three were on field goals. The Chargers traded those for punts twice, but added 10 points of their own going into the half. Philadelphia was in the lead, 16-0.

Coming out of the gate in the second half, there wasn’t much going for either team. The Eagles were able to add another field goal, but not much else. That’s when things got to the fourth period and started getting quite a bit hectic.

It started with a big rushing touchdown for the Chargers, but the Eagles quickly answered that to go back up by nine points. However, Rivers and company were able to fight back down the field and then scored again by finding Hunter Henry in the end zone. Unfortunately for them, there just wasn’t enough time. The Eagles got the ball back and just ran down the clock the rest of the way to get to 3-1 on the year.

Next: One burning question for each team in Week 4

If Philadelphia can win this road game over Los Angeles, it will put them in position to make a serious run over the next month. With upcoming games against the Cardinals, Panthers, Redskins and 49ers – quarterback Carson Wentz could have the Eagles at six or seven wins before November football even begins.
