The Los Angeles Rams faced the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Oct. 1 in Week 4 of the 2017 NFL season. Here are the highlights from the game.

The Los Angeles Rams came into Jerry World on Sunday in Week 4 to face the Dallas Cowboys. Most said that they had something to prove, that their 2-1 record was the result of playing bad teams. As such, Dallas would give them a test. And right out of the gate, it looked as if that was going to be the case.

Both the Cowboys and Rams ended up with field goals in the first quarter, but Dallas turned up the heat. In the second quarter, Ezekiel Elliott got things started with at touchdown off of the left edge. After LA kicked another field goal — a trend for this game — Dak Prescott and the offense drove down the field, capping it off with another Elliott score.

However, the Rams were resilient. Jared Goff found Cooper Kupp and then added another field goal before the half. Yet, the Cowboys were still rolling on offense as Prescott found Brice Butler. All told, Dallas took a 24-16 lead into halftime.

Out of the locker room, though, the Cowboys offense looked loss. And to make matters worse, they had no chance of stopping Todd Gurley, really feeling the effects of not having Sean Lee in this game. As such, the Rams added a 53-yard touchdown from the running back and then another field goal to take the lead, 26-24.

Dallas tried to fight back in the fourth quarter after two more field goals pushed LA’s lead to eight points. They found James Hanna for a touchdown, but couldn’t convert the two-point conversion. The defense continued to struggle and allowed a long Rams drive. However, they help up to only concede a field goal, giving them one more shot.

It was all for naught, though. Prescott couldn’t find his mark on a number of throws, and the Boys’ hopes ended as Elliott caught a short pass on fourth down and came up short of the first down marker on his run.

This isn’t necessarily a must-win game for either team, but being 3-1 by the time the game comes to a close and having a two-game cushion above the .500 mark one month into the season would be a nice goal achieved for either one of these teams.
