The surprising Los Angeles Rams will take on the Dallas Cowboys in AT&T Stadium in Week 4 of the 2017 NFL season. It’s a battle of two of the better young signal-callers in the game as each team features a second year player at the position.
Jared Goff was the No. 1 overall pick in 2016 out of Cal and became the face of the Rams because of that during their move to L.A. Then he sat for nine games and was pretty bad in the seven he did play. The Rams then moved on from Jeff Fisher as head coach and went with Sean McVay — the youngest head coach in the game.
Returns on that investment have been great so far as the Rams are 2-1 and Goff is looking like the real deal. They now try and continue their hot streak on the road against quarterback Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys.
Prescott came in with less fanfare than Goff as a fourth-round pick, but broke out when called into action against these very Rams in the 2016 preseason. He took the job for good after leading the team on an 11 game winning streak and is fresh off another strong performance as the leader of the 2-1 NFC East franchise.
