The Minnesota Vikings face the Chicago Bears on Monday, Oct. 9 in Week 5 of the 2017 NFL season. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Chicago Bears will be prepared for a primetime rivalry game as they host the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football in Week 5. Both the Vikings and Bears are coming off of tough division losses in Week 4.

For the visitors, the Bears lost a 35-14 matchup to the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football last week. Meanwhile the Vikings lost 14-7 at home to the Detroit Lions. The Packers and Lions are currently tied for first place in the NFC North, with the Vikings and Bears trailing in that order.

Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is slated to start his first game in the NFL as the Bears hope to turn the season around. Trusbisky was selected No. 2 in the 2017 NFL Draft and the Bears traded up one spot to select him.

Clearly, the Bears have high opinions of Trubisky, high enough that they are willing to forgo their original plan of letting him develop for a full season before starting him. Trubisky will have to look better than many are expecting him to in order to lead this team to a playoff berth. The Bears enter Week 5 with a 1-3 record and are in a division with two teams having a record of 3-1.

This game is likely to also mark the return of Sam Bradford to the Vikings. Bradford looked impressive in the Vikings opening game of the season but has not played since due to a knee injury. If Bradford continues the level of play he showed in Week 1, he will be a huge improvement over backup Case Keenum and make Minnesota a serious playoff contender.
