The New England Patriots came into East Rutherford and walked away with a controversial 24-17 victory over the New York Jets.

It was a hard-fought game for the New York Jets, but they couldn’t find a way to walk away with a victory against the New England Patriots in Week 6. There’s a lot to be said about the valiant effort the team put up, however.

Say what you will about the officiating in this game (and I will get to it later, because it wasn’t just the one call that the officials made a mistake on), the Jets were still in a position to at least tie the game at the end. They just couldn’t get the job done.

Despite the loss, it serves the rest of the NFL notice, you can’t just walk into a game with the Jets and expect an easy win. The Jets will fight tooth and nail to get a victory. The defense stepped up when they were needed as well. They made some key stops, and they kept the team in the game. The Jets just didn’t have enough offense to win the game

It was a tough pill to swallow, since the loss really wasn’t completely the fault of the team. They just have to swallow it, and it’s time to move on to Miami. Let’s look at the biggest takeaways from the Jets-Patriots Week 6 matchup.
