Packers vs. Vikings: Highlights, game tracker and more
By Nick Sparrow
The Green Bay Packers faced the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Oct. 15 in Week 6 of the 2017 NFL season. Here are the highlights from the game.
The Green Bay Packers traveled to U.S. Bank Stadium to face off against NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings in Week 6 of the NFL season. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers were coming off of a Week 5 road win over the Dallas Cowboys. Rodgers led to Packers on a game-winning drive with a minute on the clock in which he threw for 40 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 18 yards himself. Rodgers was looking to continue what might be an MVP-season against a talented Vikings team suffering through another season of devastatingย injuries.
However, it was the devastating injury that ultimately affected the Packers. In the first quarter, Rodgers rolled out to his right and threw. Right after he released it, Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr delivered a questionable hit. That drove the quarterback into the ground hard and he was obviously hurt. He had to leave the game and was taken to the locker room.
There, the worst was confirmed as he was determined to have a broken collarbone. He could potentially miss the rest of the season.
With Rodgers out, there was a dark cloud hanging over the rest of the game. Jerick McKinnon found the end zone twice for the Minnesota offense. However, the bigger issue was that Packers backup Brett Hundley was unable to do much of anything as he played more snaps than he had in his entire career to this point. He found Davante Adams for a touchdown, but that was all the offense could really muster.
Thus, things are looking bleak for the Packers from here on out as they suffered a loss, sure, but lost their best player in the process as well.

Itโs hard to say where the Packers go from here. Without Rodgers, this team takes a tremendous step back. As for the Vikings, this is a big win as the NFC North is now wide-open with Green Bay being without their leader.
