Just like we all expected, the New York Jets and the New England Patriots meet in Week 6 for a chance to be all alone in first place in the AFC East. That was obviously sarcasm as no one expected the Jets to be 3-2 at this point. Somehow they are, and are locked in a three-way tie with New England and the Buffalo Bills for first place. With Buffalo on a bye this week, whoever escapes MetLife Stadium with a win will be all alone in first.

New York was widely believed to be tanking in hopes of acquiring the first overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Starting out 0-2 did nothing to squash those feelings, but three-straight wins has. This will be their biggest test though as the Jets have yet to beat a team with the quality of talent the Patriots have.

Speaking of New England, these guys weren’t supposed to be 3-2 either. Coming off their fifth Super Bowl win in February, there was talk of them going 16-0. They returned all their big stars and added cornerback Stephon Gilmore and wide receiver Brandin Cooks. They lost on opening night which ended that talk, and have struggled to get things working on defense.
