The Washington Redskins are preparing to travel to Lincoln Financial Field to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football in Week 7.

The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing to host the division rival Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football in Week 7 of the 2017 NFL season. The Eagles are coming off of an impressive 28-23 road win over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football in Week 6. Washington, meanwhile, held on to defeat the San Francisco 49ers 26-24 at home. This game should be an exciting matchup and could have serious playoff implications by the end of the season.

Carson Wentz and the Eagles have looked like one of the best teams in the NFL in recent weeks. Philadelphia has outscored their opponents 62-30 in the last two weeks and enter Week 7 ranked third in offensive yards and first in rushing yards allowed.

Additionally, the Eagles have been the best team on third-down on both sides of the ball this season. The Eagles currently rank first in third-down percentage, converting over 50 percent of their third-down situations. Meanwhile, Philadelphia is only allowing opposing offenses to convert 32.9 percent of their third-down situations, which ranks third in the league.

This game is incredibly important for Washington’s chances to win the division. Washington is currently second in the NFC East, a game and a half behind the Philadelphia Eagles. More importantly, Washington has already lost to the Eagles this season. Philadelphia defeated Washington 30-17 in Week 1 on the road.

Now the Eagles will have the home-field advantage as they look to extend their lead in the division. If Washington loses on Monday, not only will they be a game and a half behind the Eagles but they will also give up the tie-breaker to them.
