Future NFL players will be spotlighted on primetime during Week 8 of the college football season, and a good showing will raise their stock for the 2018 NFL Draft.

Nothing is predictable and no team is safe this season in college football, but one of the only things we do know about college football is how many talented players there are. More than a few 2018 NFL Draft prospects will be showcased this weekend, including a Heisman hopeful running back from Penn State University.

The biggest game on Saturday features Penn State running back Saquon Barkley and the No. 2 Nittany Lions hosting the No. 19 Michigan Wolverines, another team who usually has NFL-caliber talent on their roster. For college football fans, this is a huge game, and for those who are fans of the NFL Draft, seeing the likes of Barkley play on the national stage is a reason to watch as well.

There is another game this weekend — also in primetime — that stands out with NFL-caliber talent, that being No. 11 Southern California at No. 13 Notre Dame in what should be an ultra competitive rivalry game with one quarterback in particular that those in the NFL will be keeping a keen eye on against a team like Notre Dame.

Even with those two talented teams not on the field this weekend, there is still a lot to look forward to and many intriguing games to watch as a fan of football in general. It doesn’t matter whether you are a fan of the teams themselves, college football as a whole or just an NFL fan watching which players could be on your favorite team in 2018. There is something for everyone this week, and along the way, some excellent matchups, too.
