While the Bears are only 2-4 entering this game, they have proven to be a much better team at home compared to on the road. Through the first six weeks of the season, Chicago is outscoring their opponents 60-57 at home while being outscored 88-48 on the road. Despite the games being significantly closer, that hasn’t led to wins.

The Bears have a 1-2 record both on the road and at home. Chicago now finds themselves two games behind the Vikings for the lead in the NFC North in a division in which the Detroit Lions are on a two-game losing streak and the Green Bay Packers have lost Aaron Rodgers to a broken collarbone.

After last Thursday’s loss, the Panthers are in a four-way tie for the second-best record in the NFC at 4-2. The Philadelphia Eagles (5-1) are the only team in the NFC with a better record. With the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers both losing their last two games, the Panthers still look good to win the NFC South.
