The New Orleans Saints face the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Oct. 22 in NFL Week 7 of the 2017 season. Here is all the info you need to watch.
In what should be one of the best games of Week 7, the New Orleans Saints will travel to Lambeau to face the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay is coming off the worst week imaginable as not only did they lose to NFC North rival Minnesota Vikings, losing the lead in the division, but they also lost quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a broken collarbone. Rodgers is probably the most valuable player in the league simply based on how much of Green Bay’s offense is built around his playmaking ability.
Brett Hundley, Green Bay’s fifth-round draft choice from the 2015 NFL Draft, will lead the Packers under center in Rodger’s absence. Sunday will be the first start in Hundley’s NFL career. Before last Sunday, Hundley has 3 for 11 for 17 yards over five different games in the last two years. After Rodgers was injured last Sunday, Hundley came in and went 18 for 33 157 and a touchdown. He also threw three interceptions.
The Saints had a much better week. New Orleans won a 52-38 shootout against the Detroit Lions at home. The Saints are now 3-2 and in second place in the NFC South after losing their first two games of the season. New Orleans has been categorized over the last few seasons as a team with a great passing offense being held back by a consistently terrible defense and lackluster run game.
However, the Saints scored 52 points last week despite quarterback Drew Brees throwing for less than 200 yards. Running back Mark Ingram, on the other hand, ran for 114 yards and two touchdowns on just 25 carries and Alvin Kamara rushed for 75 yards on ten carriers. New Orleans also had three defensive touchdowns. In their two previous games before last week, the Saints had only allowed a total of 13 points.

While the Saints seem to be a team on the rise in the NFC, the Packers certainly seem to on their way down. With Rodgers out and their two of their best weapons in Jordy Nelson and Ty Montgomery banged up, it is hard to see how to Packers keep their season alive.
