Fantasy Football 2017: 5 Biggest takeaways from Week 7
By Dan Thomas
From injuries to disappointments, taking a look at the five biggest fantasy football takeaways from Week 7 of the 2017 NFL season.
It was nice to see a superstar caliber player not go down with an injury this week but that doesn’t mean superstar players were not affected by injuries. What exactly do I mean by this?
Here are the five biggest fantasy football takeaways from Week 7.
5. The Raiders Offense Comes Alive
Many people believed the Oakland Raiders offense was going to be one of the best in the NFL this season but after the first six weeks, that was not the case. Outside of Michael Crabtree, no offensive player was even close to living up to their fantasy football expectations. That was until this past week on Thursday Night Football.
Quarterback Derek Carr and wide receiver Amari Cooper both had monster games against the Kansas City Chiefs and both players are ranked No. 1 at their positions for the week with only one game left to be played. Also, don’t forget about tight end Jared Cook who had his best game of the season after finishing with six receptions for 107 yards. It’ll be interesting to see if the Raiders offense can continue this type of output or if they’ll be more or less what we saw over the team’s first six games.
If I’m an Amari Cooper owner, I might consider selling high because I’m not sure his stock is going to get any better than what it is right now.
