Which two divisional rivals out of the AFC will square off on Monday Night Football in Week 8 of the 2017 NFL season?
The Denver Broncos will travel to Arrowhead Stadium to face off against heated AFC West rival Kansas City Chiefs in a primetime matchup on Monday Night Football in Week 8. The Chiefs and Broncos are both on a two-game losing streak as they enter Week 8.
Still, Kansas City finds themselves a game and a half in front of the Broncos and two games above both the Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers in the division.
The Chiefs have had a rough two weeks since starting the season 5-0. Kansas City got their first loss of the season in Week 6 as they were defeated at home 19-13 by the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Chiefs could not rush the ball, being outgained 194-28 yards on the ground. Additionally, Alex Smith threw a touchdown late in the game that was somehow called an interception on a play reminiscent of the “Fail Mary” play.

Last week, the Chiefs seemed to have the game in hand as they were up six points over the Raiders with less than two minutes left. However, a bizarre series of penalties led to the Raiders getting multiple opportunities from the goal line even after time expired and they were able to defeat the Chiefs 31-30.
The Broncos were not only upset by the then-winless New York Giants at home in Week 6 but were shutout 21-0 on the road against division rival Los Angeles Chargers last week. Trevor Siemian, who was banged up on Sunday, threw 25 of 35 for 207 yards and an interception against the Chargers.

Denver looked like one of the best teams in the league early in the season but have now scored just 26 points over the last three games against the average defenses of the Raiders, Giants, and Chargers. Denver is going to need to find a way to score more against this Chiefs team to lessen the gap in the AFC West.
