3. Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE

When you look at the numbers of Seferian-Jenkins for 2017, they’re not great. He has 26 catches (34 targets), 173 yards, and three touchdowns. For him and the Jets, though, it’s not about quantity. That’s not his role for this team. It’s about timing for Seferian-Jenkins.

It’s a matter of quality over quantity for him. If the Jets need a first down, find Seferian-Jenkins. If they need to move the ball closer to the first-down marker, Seferian-Jenkins finds a way to get open. He’s even shown some run after the catch ability.

Seferian-Jenkins will have to step up to help the Jets win yet again. Keep up the theme of quality over quantity. It’s about when, not how many. For the first time in a long time the tight end is involved in the Jets offense, and he’s making a huge contribution.

With Jordan Leggett on the shelf, the load for Seferian-Jenkins has been huge. He’s shown he can handle the load and then some. Jets fans finally have a tight end they can believe in. Week in and week out, he’s giving Jets fans one or two play to back that up. To beat the Falcons, he’s going to have to do the same.
