2018 NFL Draft: Green Bay Packers 7-round mock draft in October
By Nick Sparrow
Round 4, Pick 16: Ade Aruna, EDGE – Tulane
The Nigerian-born Ade Aruna is a hard case to judge. Aruna is a raw talent but there is so much to like when you watch footage of him play. Aruna consistently plays with a high-motor and never gives up on plays. While Aruna has a tendency to get caught on blocks, he has shown both the speed and power that is necessary for rushing the passer.
Green Bay and suiting up for the Packers could be the perfect place for Aruna to develop as he can grow behind an All-Pro pass rusher like Clay Mathews.
Green Bay has struggled getting after the quarterback so far this season. The Packers have just 12 sacks through their first seven games of the season, which is the third-worst in the league. Even if Aruna is far too raw to be considered a starter, this selection still adds depth and another weapon on defense for Green Bay to utilize.
Aruna is worth a pick in this spot just for the potential he has as a pass rusher in this league. On a team where Nick Perry is currently leading with just three and a half sacks, Aruna could be a much needed future star in the Packers pass rushing game.
