1. Despite loss to Patriots, Chargers fans should still be encouraged

I totally get it, as football fans, it’s an extremely tough pill to swallow whenever your favorite team loses. It doesn’t matter how it happened or who it happened against, we can all admit that losing sucks. However, I don’t believe Los Angeles fans should be hanging their heads after a loss to New England in Week 8.

Remember, this is a football team that started the 2017 regular season with a (0-4) record. What was once a season lost, is now one that the Bolts are on-the-brink of getting back into the AFC playoff race. It’s going to take another solid win streak, but it’s definitely not impossible.

Not to mention, if you take away a few of the mental mistakes the Chargers made on Sunday afternoon, they could’ve beaten the defending Super Bowl champs in their own stadium. Heck, even with the errors, Los Angeles still had a chance to tie at the end of the game.

Even though they experienced their fifth loss of the season this weekend, I wouldn’t go calling in the season just yet. There are still four, maybe five games left on their schedule where they could win rather easily. That said, if they can get some upset victories between those, the Chargers could find themselves in the thick of things come late-December.
