The Atlanta Falcons walked away from a rain-soaked MetLife Stadium with a 25-20 win over the New York Jets.

Say what you will about the 2017 New York Jets, but they fight to the bitter end. The problem with this team isn’t heart or determination. It’s the results. They’ve now lost three consecutive games all by one possession, and all with what appears to be the same storyline. They seem to have a case of Murphy’s Law. Everything that can go wrong in the fourth quarter will go wrong.

This team is young. So, winning many games wasn’t expected. With that said, they did reel off three consecutive wins and held leads against three teams that are superior to them. However, it’s yet another head-scratching loss leaving fans wonder why this team just can’t close out games.

It’s not the “same old Jets,” but this team is developing a pattern that may be difficult to overcome. You can’t ride the roller coaster and expect to win consistently. Their play is too hot and cold to sustain games let alone win week in and week out.

Let’s look at some of the reasons they came away with yet another loss against the Falcons.
