Cincinnati Bengals (3-4) at Jacksonville Jaguars (4-3)

This season has been all about the Jacksonville Jaguars defense, with a little Leonard Fournette sprinkled in. Blake Bortles has done a decent job as well, but the other side of the ball has been the real star of the show for a team many saw as a joke heading into 2017.

In Week 9, they’ll get one step closer to taking control of the AFC South. That’s not to say beating the Cincinnati Bengals will be a cakewalk in the friendly confines of EverBank Field. And yet, considering their offensive struggles this season, I find it hard to believe they can get this win on the road.

Right now, the Jacksonville defense is ranked sixth in the NFL in total yards allowed. Meanwhile, the Bengals offense is ranked 30th in the league. It’s a very poor matchup for a team that could barely overcome the miserable Colts a week ago, managing a come-from-behind win that took a fourth-quarter pick-six to seal the deal.

Cincinnati may boast a pretty tough defense of their own. However, the Jaguars offense has shown way more life through seven games and is doing a much better job of protecting the ball. In this low-scoring affair, Jacksonville scratches and claws its way to the win.

Prediction: Jaguars win 16-10
