Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-5) at New Orleans Saints (5-2)

I give up. For too long now, I’ve been waiting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to play up to their potential. After another miserable showing against an overrated Carolina Panthers team in Week 8, though, I’m throwing in the towel.

Jameis Winston isn’t himself this season. The defense is absolutely horrendous. Not only are they giving up the fourth-most amount of yards per game, but they’re the only team that has yet to notch double-digit sacks on the year. It’s been seven contests, and the Buccaneers have managed the same amount of sacks — pathetic.

Meanwhile, the Saints have vastly exceeded the expectations of most. They obviously boast a dangerous offense led by Drew Brees and No. 4 passing game. We all knew about that, though. Instead, let’s focus on their playmaking defense that has done a terrific job of buckling down when it matters most this season.

The New Orleans defense will do more of the same in Week 9. Winston will come into town, throw a couple of picks and get back onto the plane with yet another loss. As for the Saints, they stay atop the NFC South for at least one more week.
