Washington Redskins: Robert Griffin III still not relevant

Former Washington Redskins Quarterback Robert Griffin III attempted to start a conversation about his tenure with the team. It fell flat.

RG3 obviously doesn’t realize how much time has passed. On Twitter he presented a great deal of stuff:

The Redskins entered Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys riddled with injuries and replacements. To complete the trifecta, it rained.  One can only assume RG3 was having flashbacks of his 2012 breakout year and when they beat the Cowboys 38-31.

Maybe he was pondering the 300 plus yards he threw in that game.  Who knows. One thing is for sure, he’s missing football.

Honestly, I think he’s missing the Redskins. He was supposed to be the perfect fit for the Redskins. He could run, pass, make plays. He was exciting. However, he was also one-dimensional, never able to adjust to the demands of a front office that wanted different.  RG3 became a man fighting against his own nature on the field, and that was hard to watch. Maybe Robert saw himself on that field Sunday, working out plays he would have ran.

To go from daily motivational posts to a consistent pondering sticks out to fans. He was frustrated. He should still be playing. It’s a been a few years and he’s still trying to establish a defense against people’s view of his tenure with the Redskins? This is getting painful.

The RG3 era will go down as what could have been. It’s a saga of poor decisions, unfulfilled hopes, broken hearts, and salted wounds. There’s got to be more to RG3 than this. I want to see him play. Every Redskins fan wants to see him play somewhere. Even though former Running back Alfred Morris was playing on the opposite team in Sunday’s loss, it was good to see the guy playing a sport he truly loves.

RG3 donned Burgundy and Gold first.  He needs to regain his Redskins attitude and go find a team instead of being salty. That’s what Redskins do.
