The Buffalo Bills faced the New York Jets in Week 9 of the 2017 NFL season on Thursday Night Football. Here are the highlights from the game.

The Buffalo Bills enter Week 9 with the ninth ranked run defense and the third ranked scoring defense in the NFL. So the New York Jets will have t find a way to either tame the weakness or exploit the pass defense of the Bills.

With that said, the Bills also have one of the best rushing attacks in the league, but they have been just in their passing. Tyrod Taylor has four games below 200 yards passing and only two multiple touchdown games, and the Jets can exploit that.

The Jets defensive front is going to have to step up against the Bills, especially with three members of the Jets secondary (Morris Claibone, Buster Skrine, and Terrence Brooks) on their injury report. They will have to contain Taylor and LeSean McCoy.

A key player in stopping the rushing attack will be rookie safety Jamal Adams. He will be tested in this game against one of the league top offensive lines. If he can stop McCoy in the running game, and ep Charles Clay at bay, the Jets will be in this game to the end.

The Jets also have to come out of the locker room with more urgency. They have averages 17 points per game in the first half in their last three games, but only scored a total of 13 in the second halves (seven in the third quarter and six in the fourth). They have also failed to score in the third quarter in two of their last three games (two missed field goals, two punts).
