2. Prescott shows why he was Rookie of the Year and not Elliott

One thing’s for sure, Ezekiel Elliott is in the discussion for the best running back in the game. He may not be there yet, but he’s close. He’s dynamic, he led the league in rushing as a rookie and was in the hunt through seven games this season. Still, he isn’t the Dallas Cowboy with the hardware.

More from Dallas Cowboys

Quarterback Dak Prescott was the man who wound up with the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honor last year, and he was the one who brought Elliott up there with him to accept the award. It was Prescott saying he was helped by Elliott — not the other way around.

With all the “sky is falling” rhetoric flying around amid the potential suspension talk, many seem to forget that this is, in fact, Prescott’s team. On Sunday, against one of the best defenses in the game, he will remind us all of that.

Prescott put this team on his shoulders when no one else was willing in a Week 3 victory on Monday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals and if the Chiefs focus on stopping Elliott, he can do it again. Look for the second-year signal-caller to gain 300 total yards between throwing and running as well as three total touchdowns.
