The Kansas City Chiefs faced the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Nov. 5 in Week 9 of the 2017 NFL season. Here are highlights from the game.

The Kansas City Chiefs took one of the better records in the NFL on the road for a high-profile matchup with the Dallas Cowboys. AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX was the site of potentially the best game of Week 9.

With two of the best offenses in football squaring off, there were many fans that wanted to have things go wild right from the start. However, no one probably expected the three three-and-outs and one first down in the first four drives of the game. After that, however, the Cowboys got things going a bit at home.

Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott pieced together a fine seven-play, 61-yard drive to get the Boys on the board first. Prescott found Cole Beasley in the end zone to make it 7-0. After a stop for each defense, though, the Chiefs closed in a bit, converting a field goal after a fine drive.

With the end of the half nearing, though, Prescott then pieced together a masterful drive. He went down the field 82 yards in only seven plays. To cap things off, he used his underrated rushing ability on a zone read to get into the end zone and take what looked like a commanding 14-3 lead into the locker room. However, Tyreek Hill had other plans. With Kansas City throwing a Hail Mary, they went short to Hill, who then diced the Cowboys prevent defense and found the end zone.

That got momentum on the side of the visiting team, who then went down the field smoothly right out of halftime and Travis Kelce caught a touchdown pass to make it 17-14 in favor of the Chiefs. However, Elliott and the Cowboys offense wouldn’t be denied. Relying on the bellcow back, they took control of the game-flow by leaning on him. That allowed them to drive down the field and score once again, with Elliott punching it in from two yards out.

From there, the Cowboys defense stepped up and didn’t allow another point. The offense then continued to roll as Prescott found Beasley for the second time on the day. Taco Charlton then sacked Alex Smith before Jeff Heath intercepted the KC quarterback to all but seal the win for Dallas.
