After an embarrassing performance last Thursday, the Miami Dolphins look for redemption on the national stage against the Oakland Raiders. Here are 3 bold predictions for the game.

For most Miami Dolphins fans, and players too I would imagine, it’s been a long, whirlwind ten days. Last Thursday the Dolphins embarrassed themselves on national television, losing 40-0 against the Baltimore Ravens. It was the second shut-out of the season for the Dolphins anemic offense, and after the game the real “excitement” began.

Adam Gase didn’t pull any punches in post-game interviews in the days following the Ravens debacle, decrying the team’s lack of effort, and calling out players on their reluctance to fall in line. Gase flat-out stated there were guys in the locker room who weren’t working hard and weren’t committing to their responsibilities. One of those players, former Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi, was sent packing earlier this week. Miami traded the star running back to the Philadelphia Eagles for a fourth-round pick in the upcoming NFL draft.

The move was clearly an attempt by Gase to send a message that no one player is bigger than the team. That Gase is the one in control of this ship and if you’re not willing to do things the correct way, you’re not going to stick around. It’s a move this Dolphins team has seen before in recent memory, with successful results. Will this be the catalyst towards a more potent offense? We’ll get our first glimpse at an answer this Sunday night as the Dolphins square off against the Oakland Raiders.

What can fans expect to see from a new-look Dolphins team once again under the bright lights of a national audience? Let’s take a look at three bold predictions for the game.
