Washington Redskins wide receiver Terrelle Pryor will have a break out game against the Seattle Seahawks because he’s one of the last men standing.

Don’t be offended Washington Redskins fans; when it comes to Terrelle Pryor, you were thinking the same thing. Fellow wide receiver Jamison Crowder is dealing with a hamstring. Tight end Jordan Reed is also dealing with hamstring issues. The Redskins’ run game is threatened again because Rob Kelly is having some ankle issues.

Crowder is one of Cousins’ favorite targets, catching 28 for 272 yards. Pryor enters Week 9 against the Seattle Seahawks with a dark, yet advantageous opportunity to do some big things. I say it’s dark because Kirk Cousins now has no choice but to make him an option.

Besides Vernon Davis, Ryan Grant will be available. Then there’s Josh Doctson, a player they’re trying to get more engaged in the game. However, when it comes to the deep ball they will need to look to Pryor. He has the height and the speed to make it happen.

According to ESPN’s John Keim, he’s ready to do that:

"“It’s still a long season…If you get opportunities it can still be special and we can still make plays. … You guys know how it is, we don’t get a lot of targets around here. But when we do we have to take advantage of them and maybe they’ll come more. That’s all we can do, take advantage of that.”"

Cousins’ problem will be trusting his target down range. If Pryor wants Cousins to gain any confidence in the long ball, he’s going to have to catch everything that’s thrown to him. Otherwise, Cousins is going to clam up and keep it within his comfort zone of 10 yards and less. This season, Pryor has been targeted four to five times, and his numbers are nothing to talk about.

This game will also be different because of the offensive line. Cousins is not going to be able to stay in the pocket as long as he’s used to, so he’s gonna to need to get the ball downfield as far as he can. Week 9 against the Seahawks will a very liberal game for both Cousins and Terrelle Pryor. Expect to see several shots downfield. If Pryor can make the catches, this game will be a shootout.
