Cleveland Browns (0-8) at Detroit Lions (4-4)

Is there any reason to think the Cleveland Browns could actually win this game? Yeah, I didn’t think so. Even if Matthew Stafford overslept and missed the game, the Detroit Lions would still be able to earn the win and keep the Browns winless before Week 10 is over.

Unfortunately for Cleveland, Stafford isn’t going to miss the game. And as we saw on Monday night, the NFL’s highest-paid player is coming into his own as we work our way into the second half of the season. It helps that he was airing it out against a subpar Packers secondary, but that’s against the point.

The real reason the Browns won’t win this one, though? The offense. No matter who starts under center, it’s been a mess this season. The running game hasn’t gotten going either. Especially with the inner turmoil brewing following the trade-deadline mishap, Cleveland appears destined to go 0-16 in 2017.

This is the next step towards that historic level of suckage. The Lions cruise in this one, carving up the Cleveland defense, forcing a few turnovers and going home victorious without even breaking a sweat. Would we really expect anything different against the Browns, though?

Prediction: Lions win 31-6
