Taking a look at which two teams will take the field on Thursday Night Football in Week 10 of the 2017 NFL season to get the week rolling.

The Arizona Cardinals will host the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football in Week 10 of the NFL season. While the Los Angeles Rams currently hold sole possession of the NFC West division, the Seahawks are just one game behind and currently hold the tiebreaker over them and the Cardinals are just two games behind. This game is set up to be incredibly important in both the NFC West and NFC Wild Card race and fans certainly won’t want to miss it.

Despite the fact that the Seahawks were able to win the division last season they could not defeat the rival Cardinals. The Seahawks fought to a 6-6 tie in their first game last season and the Cardinals were able to win a 34-31 game in Seattle during their second matchup.

Even though the Cardinals lost starting quarterback Carson Palmer to injury in Week 7, backup quarterback Drew Stanton looked pretty good last week. Stanton threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns in Arizona’s 20-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers to become 9-5 in his career as a starter. Unfortunately, Stanton’s path will not be as easy this week as he faces a Seattle defense that ranks 13th in passing yards allowed per game.

The Seahawks struggled in their Week 9 performance at home. Kicker Blair Walsh missed three field goal attempts during Seattle’s 17-14 loss to the Washington Redskins and Seattle reportedly will not bring in another kicker to compete. Additionally, the Seahawks have still proven to be able to run the ball effectively this season after Chris Carson was placed on IR.

Quarterback Russell Wilson led the team in Week 9 as he rushed for 77 yards but no running back was even able to gain 40 yards on the ground. The Seahawks are a team that used to define their offense with a power run scheme but unless something drastically changes in the second half of the season they need a new plan to find offensive success.
