With Week 10 of the regular season set to kick off tonight, who are the players fantasy football owners should want to start and sit?

The end of the fantasy football regular season is in sight and for most owners, they will only have four weeks of fantasy football left. After that, they will have to wait until 2018 before they can play again. I know it’s a scary thought but it’s the reality of the situation. If you don’t want to be one of the owners who have to end their fantasy season early, winning Week 10 will go a long way. So who are the players who can help or hurt owners if they are in starting lineups?

Here are some players you should consider starting or sitting for Week 10.

Note: Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland Raiders and Philadelphia Eagles all have a bye this week.

Quarterbacks

Start

Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams vs. Houston Texans – Last week Goff finished as the No. 1 fantasy football quarterback after finishing with 311 passing yards and four touchdowns. I can’t guarantee he’ll provide owners with a similar performance this week, but I do feel confident he’ll have another strong game. The Texans rank 21st in passing defense and have given up 300+ passing yards and two-or-more touchdowns in back-to-back games.

Josh McCown, New York Jets vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – So far this season, McCown is averaging 15.4 fantasy points per week and the Buccaneers have given up 18.7 fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in three out of the last four games. Tampa Bay should be getting back cornerback Brent Grimes this week, but that shouldn’t stop owners from throwing McCown in their starting lineups.

Sit

Kirk Cousins, Washington Redskins vs. Minnesota Vikings – Cousins started the year off strong but that hasn’t been the case as of late. His weapons are nicked up but more importantly, his offensive line is in shambles. I don’t trust Cousins having a strong game against the seventh-best passing defense in the NFL.

Philip Rivers, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Jacksonville Jaguars – He’s playing against Jacksonville. At this point, that’s all you need to know.

Tyrod Taylor, Buffalo Bills vs. New Orleans Saints – Remember the days when all you wanted to do was to start quarterbacks against the New Orleans Saints? Not anymore! Since Week 3, the Saints have had the No. 1 fantasy football D/ST and no quarterback in that time has scored at least 15 fantasy points when facing them.
