3. Travis Benjamin will be the game’s leading receiver

Even though Philip Rivers hasn’t been playing at a high-level this season, Travis Benjmain has still been able to have a pretty darn good start to the year. With 304 receiving yards and three touchdowns, Benjamin is easily one of the Chargers most underrated targets in 2017. With a big game coming up against the Jags in Week 10, expect the former Miami Hurricanes stud to have another big weekend.

More from Los Angeles Chargers

In last season’s September matchup between these two squads, the Bolts were playing without Keenan Allen and yet, Benjamin still managed to finish with a game-high 115 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Needless to say, with most of the Jaguars defensive focus on Allen this weekend, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Los Angeles lean on Benjamin a ton this Sunday afternoon, especially if they struggle to get the run game going against a fierce Jacksonville front-seven.

At the same time, the Chargers need to find different ways to offset a Jacksonville defense that leads the NFL in sacks. If Ken Whisenhunt doesn’t game-plan getting the football out or Rivers’ hand as soon as possible, it could be a long an bruising afternoon for the veteran quarterback.
