Taking stock of which two teams will end Week 10 of the 2017 NFL season as they take to primetime for Monday Night Football action.

The Carolina Panthers will host the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football in Week 10 of the NFL season. The Panthers are coming off of a 20-17 victory over the division rival Atlanta Falcons in Week 9, their second consecutive win within the NFC South. The Panthers last two games have been huge broke a two-game losing streak prior.

This game will mark the third-consecutive primetime game for Miami, which might not be a good thing for the team. The Dolphins are coming off of a 27-24 loss to the Oakland Raiders last Sunday night and were shutout 40-0 by the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football in Week 8.

The Dolphins desperately need to find a way to produce on offense if they hope to reach an AFC Wild Card spot. Miami currently sits just one game behind the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars for a Wild Card playoff berth but rank 31st in the league in yards gained and 32nd in points scored.

With the Dolphins trading anyway running back Jay Ajayi, who led the team in rushing last season and was getting over 80 percent of the team’s carries before being traded this season, it could be difficult for Miami to replace that production so quickly. It certainly won’t help that the Panthers defense has looked great so far this season. Carolina is currently allowing the least amount of yards in the league and ranks fourth in points allowed.

The Dolphins are 4-1 all-time against the Panthers dating back to their first matchup in 1998. However, Carolina won the last game between these two teams, which took place in 2013. Both of these teams are fighting for a playoff berth and can’t afford to pile up any more losses before the final stretch of the season.
