Jets vs. Buccaneers: Preview, score prediction for Week 9
New York Jets vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The New York Jets head south for a matchup with the Buccaneers for a Week 10 matchup at Raymond James Stadium, and an old friend looms. With Jameis Winston injuring his shoulder, Ryan Fitzpatrick will make the start on Sunday.
The matchup with the Buccaneers represents a typical trap game for a young Jets team. This team has proven to be better than the Bucs, and New York has their bye week coming up in Week 11. This is a reversal of what most people expected coming into the 2017 season. The Jets are playing much better than expected, and the Buccaneers were expected to take the next step into playoff contention.
New York has the better quarterback in the game. Fitzpatrick is starting for Tampa Bay for the injured Winston. Tampa Bay’s defense isn’t playing much better either. They’re near the bottom of the league in all the major statistical categories, most importantly scoring.
The Jets are coming off their best gaming and feeling good about themselves. This is a perfect opportunity to show the league that, even though they’re young, New York shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Prediction
New York is in a perfect situation. The Buccaneers can’t score, and seemingly can’t stop a nosebleed. Gang Green the momentum off a dominating win against the Bills. It won’t be a cakewalk early for the visiting team, because the Buccaneers will be hearing all week about the under achievement of this team.

However, with Ryan Fitzpatrick starting New York’s defense should be able to force some turnovers, and it’s a matter of their offense taking advantage of the turnovers and turning them into points. This will be a game where the Jets run away with it after dominating the middle part of the game.
Final Score: New York Jets: 34, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 14
