Round 2: Mark Andrews, TE, Oklahoma

I’ll be honest, before the 2017 season began, the thought of taking a tight-end early in the 2018 NFL Draft was just absurd. After having a very solid rookie season in Atlanta, Austin Hooper looked to be the team’s tight-end for the foreseeable future.

That said, Hooper has been struggling to block and is having an even harder time trying to hold onto the ball on offense. While one bad season just justify getting rid of someone, it does mean that playing-time needs to be evaluated.

Needless to say, in my opinion, Atlanta’s best option moving forward is with Mark Andrews from Oklahoma. Take a look at what Andrew has accomplished at Oklahoma, courtesy of the Sooners athletics website:

"Ranks fourth in OU history among tight ends with 80 receptions Fifth among OU tight ends (23rd overall) with 1,327 career receiving yards and ninth overall in career TD receptions (17) 17 of his 80 catches (21.3 percent) have resulted in touchdowns."

Not only does Andrew have great size at 6-foot-5, but the kid from Scottsdale, Arizona is a touchdown scoring machine as well. In his three total seasons playing at OU, Andrew has racked up 17 receiving touchdowns.

That said, Andrews is a must-watch prospect moving forward.
