In what should be one of the better matchups of the day, the New Orleans Saints will take on the Buffalo Bills. In their last game, the Saints defeated an injury-riddled Tampa Bay Buccaneers team by a score of 30-10. Quarterback Drew Brees was on the mark in this one, going 22-of-27 on the day, throwing for 263 yards and two touchdowns.
The rushing attack was speared by the two-headed monster of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara. Ingram recorded 16 carries for 77 yards on the day while Kamara posted 10 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown. Kamara also managed to get it done in the passing game, leading the Saints with six catches for 84 yards and a touchdown. Ted Ginn Jr. caught the other touchdown of the afternoon, finishing the game with four catches for 59 yards, including the touchdown.
Out in New York, the Bills were defeated the New York Jets in a Thursday night showdown. In defeat, quarterback Tyrod Taylor played well. He went 29-of-40 on the day, throwing for 265 yards and two touchdowns. He also paced the rushing attack, carrying the ball six times for 35 yards and a touchdown to lead the team.
Deonte Thompson had a great day and was Taylor’s main target, catching the rock seven times for 81 yards and a touchdown. Zay Jones helped continue the offensive onslaught catching six passes for 53 yards and a touchdown of his own.
The Saints are first in the NFC South at 6-2 while the Bills come into this game second in the AFC East with a 5-3 record.
