Executing the waiver wire in fantasy football is what will separate the champions from the chumps. Here are some players you should target in Week 11.
There are only three weeks left in the 2017 fantasy football regular season and while some owners are locking up playoff spots, others are fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive. Who are the players who can help owners pull out a victory in Week 11?
Let’s check out the waiver wire.
For these purposes, we will being using ESPN Fantasy Football as a guideline. Any player that is 50 percent owned or less is eligible.
5. Corey Davis, WR, Tennessee Titans (34.4 percent owned)
Davis came oh-so-close to scoring a touchdown last week but came up just short. However, Davis is seeing plenty of targets and has favorable matchups coming up on the schedule. If he remains healthy, it wouldn’t be a shock to see Davis finish as a top-25 wide receiver between now and the end of the regular season.
4. Austin Ekeler, RB, San Diego Chargers (2.0 percent owned)
Last week Ekeler finished with a season high in carries (10), rushing yards (42), receptions (5), receiving yards (77), receiving touchdowns (2) and fantasy points (26.9). After a performance like that, there’s a chance Ekeler will see consistent touches moving forward. At the very least, Melvin Gordon owners need to scoop this guy up just in case Gordon goes down with an injury in the fantasy playoffs (kind of like last year).
3. Jamaal Williams, RB, Green Bay Packers (2.7 percent owned)

In Week 10 ,both Aaron Jones and Ty Montgomery went down with an injury and as a result, Williams led the team in carries (20) and rushing yards (67). It appears Jones will miss extended time, but Montgomery could return in Week 11. Even though there’s nothing special about Williams, he needs to be owned because he could be a workhorse if Mongtomery doesn’t return in Week 11 or aggravates his injury (again) at some point in the future.
2. Rex Burkhead, RB, New England Patriots (11.7 percent owned)
On Sunday Night Football against the Denver Broncos, Burkhead saw a season-high in carries (10) and rushing yards (36) while also catching three passes for 27 yards and a touchdown. It was Burkhead’s second-consecutive game with 15.3 PPR points. With Mike Gillislee all but phased out of the Patriots offense, look for Burkhead’s usage to remain consistent.
1. Dion Lewis, RB, New England Patriots (37.0 percent)
I just got done saying how Rex Burkhead has had back-to-back solid games, but Dion Lewis remains the back to own in the Patriots backfield. He finished last week 17.5 PPR points and saw 11+ carries for the fourth-straight game. As we saw last week, Lewis can even reward owners on special teams when he returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
Others Receiving Votes
Blake Bortles, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars (15.4 percent owned) – Bortles now has three-straight games with 16.3+ fantasy points and this week he faces the Cleveland Browns. He has not thrown multiple touchdowns since Week 3, but I’d be surprised if he didn’t do just that in Week 11.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (26.3 percent owned) – I thought Fitzpatrick was going to have a better game against the Jets in Week 10, but keep in mind he was without wide receiver Mike Evans. This week, Evans will be back in the lineup and the Buccaneers will be facing the Dolphins, who just got embarrassed on Monday Night Football.

Marqise Lee, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars (42.6 percent owned) – Lee now has back-to-back games with a touchdown and four-straight with 11.2 PPR points. Lee has a lot of favorable matchups coming up and as long as he’s on the field, he’ll be a WR 2/3.
Dontrelle Inman, WR, Chicago Bears (0.7 percent owned) – In his first game with the Bears, Inman snagged six balls (eight targets) for 88 yards. Is this a fluke? It might be, but owners should stash him on their benches until they are sure.
