Running Backs

Start

Rex Burkhead, New England Patriots vs. Oakland Raiders – Burkhead is coming off back-to-back games with 15.3 fantasy points and he’s being used in a variety of ways. In Week 8 he hauled in a season-high seven receptions and in the Patriots next game, he saw a season-high in carries (10). Look for Burkhead to remain busy in one of the best offenses in the NFL.

Latavius Murray, Minnesota Vikings vs. Los Angeles Rams – Last week, Murray found the end zone for the second time in three games and has averaged 17 touches over the last five games. This week Murray and the Vikings take on the 24th-ranked rush defense in the NFL. Something tells me Murray finds the end zone once again in Week 11.

Kenyan Drake, Miami Dolphins vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The second-year man out of Alabama has been blossoming since the Dolphins shipped Jay Ajayi to the Philadelphia Eagles. Over the last two games he has averaged 12 touches and 98 total yards per game while finishing with 16.4+ fantasy points in each of those two games. Given the matchup and the way he’s playing, Drake is a RB2 for Week 11.

Sit

Adrian Peterson, Arizona Cardinals vs. Houston Texans – In Week 9, Peterson ran 159 yards on 37 carries. However, the two games between that one (Weeks 7 and 10), Peterson finished with 50 rushing yards on 32 carries. The Texans have given up the fewest rushing touchdowns this season and rank seventh in rushing defense. Look for Peterson to have a similar performance in Weeks 7 and 10 compared to Week 9.

Alfred Morris, Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles – With Ezekiel Elliott out last week, Morris only finished with 53 total yards on 11 carries. I can’t imagine Morris finishing as a top 25-30 running back this week considering he has to go against the best rushing defense in the NFL.
