Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cleveland Browns

Dating back to the start of the 2010 season, the teams with the worst records in the NFL are the Jacksonville Jaguars (36-85) and the Cleveland Browns (29-92). This season, the former seems to be doing something about that. The club has doubled its wins from a year ago and at 6-3 is one of the bigger surprises in the league.

Meanwhile, the Browns are winless in 2017 and under head coach Hue Jackson own a 1-24 record. So what can we expect on Sunday?

Keys to Victory

Only the Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers are giving up fewer yards per game this season than the Jaguars. But Doug Marrone’s team is just 25th vs. the run, although the club has been better as of late in this area. The Browns will look to exploit this weakness and hopefully for Jackson’s squad, finds a way to hang onto the football. Cleveland has committed an NFL-high 23 turnover. Meanwhile, the opportunistic Jaguars have come away with 18 takeaways in nine contests. That’s five more than they managed all of last season.

Prediction

Taking care of the football has been a major issue for the Cleveland Browns. Then again, their own defense has been fairly solid and could present Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles with some problems. The fourth-year signal-caller has been susceptible to mistakes as well. This is a hungry Browns’ team facing an opponent who is expected to win on the road in this spot. But these Jaguars have broken their shaky mold of recent seasons and will find a way to come out on top.

Final Score: Jacksonville Jaguars: 23, Cleveland Browns: 16
