Patriots vs. Raiders live stream: Watch Week 11 online
By David Mamola
The New England Patriots face the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, November 19 in NFL Week 11 of the 2017 season. Here’s all the information you need to watch.
It’s going to be a strange sight to see the New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders play a game in Mexica City. Technically, the Raiders are the “home” team since they gave up playing in Oakland to make this matchup possible, but neither team figures to have much of an advantage in terms of crowd noise. Let’s just hope the fans aren’t disappointed to see American football and not futbol in Estadio Azteca.
The New England Patriots have overcome a bumpy first few games of the season to get to a 7-2 record and first place in the AFC East. It seems like every year the Patriots struggle early, only to catch fire in November and coast into the playoffs. This year is no different, and speaking of different, Tom Brady, age 40, looks to be the same player he was at age 30. It’s remarkable how consistent the five-time Super Bowl champion is, and it’s a joy to watch him every week.
Meanwhile, the Raiders need a victory in the worst of ways. Sitting at 4-5 and two games behind the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West, the Raiders need to find a way to pull the upset on Sunday and get back into the playoff race. The Raiders had Week 10 off due to their bye, so maybe the two-week break is what the team needed to refocus and prepare for the second half of the season.
It’s going to be interesting to see how both teams deal with the elevation on Sunday. Estadio Azteca has an altitude of 7,382 feet, higher than any stadium in the NFL. Playing that high up has serious health concerns for the players, particularly since NFL players are not used to playing at such high heights.

A loss on Sunday would all but end the playoff hopes of the Oakland Raiders. They’ve had a disappointing season so far, especially since they went 12-4 in 2016. The Patriots are not the team you want to face in a must-win game, though, so it’ll be interesting to see how the Raiders respond. Let’s just hope that both teams have all of their passports in order!
