Getting crushed by the Eagles should teach the Dallas Cowboys a few things about getting back on track.

The Dallas Cowboys went into Week 11 knowing that their only chance at winning the division would be taking a game from the Philadelphia Eagles at home on Sunday night. The problem is, that they were missing three of their best players in Ezekiel Elliott, Tyron Smith and Sean Lee. Unfortunately, the game got a lot uglier than it should have, and the Cowboys were given a stark reality check without some of their top talents.

While the injuries certainly impacted the game, it is no excuse for the utter disaster of a performance against the Eagles. The defense was able to hold things together for a bit, but once the Eagles got rolling, the Cowboys were never able to have answer.

The division may be all but lost, but the season should not be given up on. The Cowboys know how much better they need to be to have any chance at a playoff run, and that performance against the Eagles exposed a lot of the major problems this roster is left with.

The Cowboys cannot depend on all their players returning right now, so they have to find the ways to work with the roster that they have. Here are three things that we learned from their game against the Eagles, that can maybe help them get back on track for a late season run at a final playoff spot.

With that, let’s dive into three big takeaways for Dallas from the loss on Sunday night.
