We take a look at which teams are set to kickoff NFL Week 12 by squaring off on Thanksgiving day.

There’s no football tradition quite like getting together with family and friends on Thanksgiving day, watching NFL teams square off on primetime television starting in the afternoon. We’ve seen some great games on this important Thursday in the past, but this week holds three match-ups that will surely keep your attention until the very end.

Not to mention, with December football on the horizon, each one of these teams enter into Week 12 looking to keep climbing in the conference standings.

Take a look at each game that will be played on Thanksgiving day in Week 12 below:

As usual, the Lions and Cowboys will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving day games in the comfort of their own stadiums. With both teams desperately trying to climb back into the race for one of the NFC’s two wild-card playoff spots, the environments in both Dallas and Detroit will surely be festive and rowdy.

With that said, it’s the Giants and Redskins match-up on Thursday night which could ultimately become the most-enticing game of the entire day.

While I understand that neither team is very good this season, both squads enter into Week 12 with totally different outlooks. New York is coming off an upset win over the Kansas City Chiefs last weekend and Washington blew a substantial lead in the fourth quarter to lose to the Saints in New Orleans.

As Thanksgiving day brings us three out of the four teams in the NFC East, we can expect two things for sure – exciting match-ups and lots of food. What’s better than that?
