3. Multiple sacks for the defensive line

In this matchup it’s not the irresistible force meets the immovable object. It’s more like which team’s worst feature can perform better than the other.

Muhammad Wilkerson and Leonard Williams have combined for four sacks on the season. According to Pro Football Focus Elite, they have a total of 48 pressures created. Williams has a pass rush productivity number of 7.1, and Wilkerson’s number is 5.5. The Panthers have 369 pass plays on offense and have allowed pressure on 111 of them for a pressure rating (via Pro Football Focus Elite) of 76.6.

Even though they haven’t gotten the sacks, according to Pro Football Edge, the Jets do have three top 50 interior defenders in Wilkerson, Williams, and Steve McLendon. Wilkerson and Williams will finally take advantage of a weakness and get to Cam Newton. They all have the ability to take down Newton, and they will. Superman will be grounded in this game.
