Washington Redskins: 3 Bold predictions vs. Giants on Thanksgiving
The Washington Redskins are coming off a devastating loss to the New Orleans Saints and now face the New York Giants on Thanksgiving night.
The Washington Redskins led the New Orleans Saints by 15 points with just under three minutes remaining on Sunday. Washington was so close to improving to 5-5 on the season, yet, an epic collapse saw the Redskins fall 34-31 to the Saints in overtime. It was a particularly bad effort by Washington’s defense as Saints’ quarterback Drew Brees didn’t miss one time in New Orleans’ final three drives.
As bad as that loss was, Washington must regroup as the New York Giants are coming to town on Thanksgiving night. While the Giants are just 2-8, they are coming off a tough, much-needed win over a good Kansas City team.
Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins is coming off perhaps his best game of the season. Cousins completed 22 of 32 passes for 322 yards and three scores in the loss. While Cousins has been strong all season long, he was especially effective against the Saints despite constant pressure. It helped he finally had a running game in the form of rookie Samaje Perine. Perine rushed for a career-high 117 yards and a score.
The NFC East division race is all but over, however, anytime the Redskins and Giants face off it’s always going to be a battle. Here are three bold predictions for the Redskins against the Giants on Thanksgiving night.
