2. Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions

Nobody foresaw this being the NFC North’s premier matchup at the start of the season, but with Aaron Rodgers out of the picture, this is the game that will likely decide the division.

The Vikings hold a two-game lead over the Lions but Detroit already has the tiebreaker from the Week 4 contest in Minneapolis and a win to move within a game of Minnesota would set up a fascinating stretch run.

This is also an outstanding matchup between a Lions passing attack ranked sixth in the NFL in yards per game and a Vikings defense that is fifth in the league in yards per game allowed and boasting one of the best pass rushers in the game in Everson Griffen, who has 10 sacks on the season.

Throw in a Vikings offense excelling with Case Keenum under center and Adam Thielen establishing himself as one of the NFL’s premier wide receivers and this is a starter course well worth tuning into.
